Once again, the UK has done brilliantly in the worldwide university league tables, with four universities out of the top six. But I was interested in another phenomenon, which I haven't seen reported in the press.
Let's imagine you are an up and coming country, building a new university, and you want to rename the town it is in to give the university instant prestige. What should you call it? Look again at that top six and something fascinating pops out. Look at where the universities are located:

Spot anything? So I look forward to a lot of new towns called Cambridge springing up around the world.
